Students Safe After School Bus Involved In Fiery Maryland Crash

No injuries were reported after a car rear-ended a school bus packed with students in Prince George's County, officials say.

First responders were called at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning to the outer loop of the Capital Beltway near Ritchie Marlboro Road when a school bus was struck by another driver, leaving both with fire damage.

Smoke could be seen coming from both the bus and front of the vehicle, which sustained extensive damage.

According to a Prince George's County Fire/EMS spokesperson, there were 23 students on the bus at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
